Yellow Pages

I'm in Ontario and we have used Yellow Pages for the entire 13 years we have been in business.  I want to get away from them.  They look after my website and SEO's.  Thats about it but I feel like we are over paying them and not seeing results.  Anyone else in this boat?

The Yellow Pages were a powerhouse in their time, serving as a go-to resource for people searching for local businesses. In the early days of our business, we leveraged them as part of our marketing strategy, and at that time, they provided value. However, as consumer behavior shifted more effective and cost-efficient options emerged.

Businesses today must adapt to stay ahead. Redirecting marketing dollars toward online visibility, reputation management, and strategic digital advertising ensures that every dollar spent works harder to generate leads and drive growth.

If you're spending money with the Yellow Pages for SEO, I’d recommend auditing what they’re actually doing and comparing it to results-driven alternatives. You’ll likely find better value, more control, and higher rankings elsewhere. Working with a reputable SEO agency/ Website Builders with built in SEO gives you personalized strategies, transparent reporting, and real accountability. I would also make sure you have your Google business profile optimized,  Instead of relying on third-party services, you can drive local traffic for free.

You're totally right, and YP websites are notorious for being slow, let alone optimized for SEO. There are so many tools out there nowadays that can help streamline or replace what they do. I've been using a website builder tool that can get you a new, optimized site fairly quickly. Send me your business name and current URL and I can spin one up for you if you'd like.
