yes, I've been able to utilize Instagram AI automation for my landscaping business and other local businesses. Outside of that Jobber has some good simple applications for getting reviews. It's an AI agent that likes/comments and targets potential clients using keywords.

Looking for some options to start using IA software to answer calls, which one did you recommend base on your experience.
Thanks

At the moment I'm utilizing Jobbers AI Receptionist Full-time to see how it goes. I've had so many problems with live call center agents that it can't hurt to run all my calls though Jobber and see how the AI Receptionist does. Stay tuned.....

Why I built Contractor AI:
I built Contractor AI from the ground up for Energize Us LLC and our contractor association because I saw the same thing over and over: most problems in this industry has nothing to do with our work.
The real issues holding contractors back are admin overload, soft skill gaps, and lack of systems. I created this CHAT/ AI to solve those day-to-day bottlenecks we all face, estimating, team leadership, communication breakdowns, and structure.
If I was you id build a custom GPT solution designed for your company, based on real problems and real patterns you have seen in the field. It streamlines operations, builds leadership, and helps you grow with clarity and confidence.
If you need help Im here to assist, or if you want to use ours, it would be an honor. - EnergizeUsJobber Ambassador
Hey Everyone
MIT just dropped a study that tracked 54 participants using ChatGPT, Google, or no tools at all while completing writing tasks. They ran EEG scans to measure brain engagement.
So what does this mean for us ... in home services lol.
🔻 Cognitive Drop: Brain activity was lowest in ChatGPT users
❌ Low Ownership: Users couldn’t explain or recall their own work
📉 Underperformance: LLM users got worse over 4 months
⚠️ Backfire Effect: People who started with AI then went to just thinking normally actually performed worse than those who never used AI.
A lot of people are “faking it” better now with AI. But in home service and contracting, you can’t fake real understanding, hard skills, and service. If you don’t know your pricing, if you can’t explain your value, if you haven’t built systems or have your own vision, then ChatGPT isn’t helping you grow.
So I created this graphic to go over with our team. What do you all think?- ConradContributor 4
Great points - there’s definitely a right and wrong way to use tools, AI included.

ChatGPT is super helpful for estimating hours for handyman service work. I have it give references as to why and it breaks it down pretty specifically.

Have you created your own GPT yet to tailor it to your company - or just using the standard ChatGPT function?

Hi I am looking into something now with the n8n where you can build automations for the business. AI is helping with setting up to get leads and its free on the regular chap GPT. I may end up upgrading for 20 dollars, but so far it looks good. I'm looking at videos on you-tube. Check them out! I will let you know what happens for me later.

I’ve been experimenting a lot with n8n and Jobber recently and, honestly, the workflows themselves aren’t the hardest part — it’s getting a stable connection to Jobber in the first place.
Their OAuth flow is a bit unique, and token refresh handling is what trips most people up. Without that, even the best workflow will stop running after a while. Zapier avoids the issue because they’ve got a native integration, but Make.com and n8n doesn’t — so you’re left with webhooks or rolling your own OAuth app.
Then there’s the stuff you don’t see in demo videos: historical data pulls that hit API limits, retry logic for flaky endpoints, rate limits, and idempotency checks so you don’t accidentally duplicate records. Getting something to run once is easy — getting it to run every day without breaking is the challenge. Ai is great I use just about all of them the only is it can loose context quickly or hit and error and start digger a deeper hole if your not careful.
I finally got a setup working in n8n that handles Jobber OAuth, refresh tokens, webhooks, and reliable historical pulls, and from there I’ve been building plug-and-play automations for common Jobber tasks.
If anyone’s stuck on the connection part or just curious about what’s possible once it’s stable, I’m happy to share a high-level overview or show some examples of the kinds of workflows I’ve been testing.

I’ve had a lot of success using Chat GPT for fault finding
I had a customer that had a sprinkler system I had never worked on and sent a few photos along with the issue and it helped me diagnose the problem really quickly, also used it for appliance repair fault finds with great success

I’ve been using ChatGPT a little bit for market research I guess you’d say. And it’s great for helping write coherent text when your brain is just fried from decision fatigue. 😅
Definitely looking to use it more within the business for recording notes in the field (summaries created for onsite assessments along with a full transcript so we don’t miss details, I think Firefly AI is one that does this).
Will look at creating our own CustomGPT for writing processes & systems as we grow the business and build out the backend.
I’ll be using a CustomGPT soon for writing a whole job ad! I’m interested to see the results (I didn’t create it, it’s been provided by a business coaching program we’re a part of).My ultimate goal is to allow instant, accurate job quotes through our website or even on the phone with an AI agent. I spend SO MUCH time quoting/pricing work, life will be much easier when I have that sorted.

not sure this counts but we use zapier that makes a difference. more of a automation thing but still very valuable
