Your form step is actually a good filter, I'd keep it. The friction is that it depends on you answering live first. A few ways to tighten it without hiring yet:
- Move the company number off your personal cell onto a VoIP line (OpenPhone/Quo, Grasshopper, etc.) so it can ring you, then your sales rep, then roll somewhere else if neither picks up.
- - Set an auto-text on every missed call that includes your Jobber request form link. Plenty of fence customers will fill it out from that text without ever talking to you, and you skip the 'can I text you?' step.
- - Block two or three callback windows a day where you clear the list, so callers hear 'we'll call by noon/4pm' instead of a vague 'later'.
- - When you do talk live, fill the request form yourself while on the call. It's faster than sending it and waiting.
The gap that's left is when you're on a job site and the rep is out quoting. That's where an answering layer (human service or AI) earns its keep, ideally one that asks your same form questions and drops the answers into Jobber. We run an AI receptionist for that piece: https://firstdeploy.ai
