Looking for a grant
Looking for a grant to fund my lawn care business I already have over 35 customers. Both my mowers have broke down and left me basically stranded having to borrow one from my dad to get jobs done . It's something I love to do help people give great prices it's not about the money it's about helping people for me . I hope to get this grant it would grow my business significantly.149Views6likes3CommentsReal Talk: The Ups and Downs of Running a Business

Hello Jobber community! My name is Levi, I am a Canadian 20 year old home service business owner. secind year of business. I am at a big crossroads here, I do not know if I should commit fully to maintenance (lawn care, clean ups, guaranteed recurring revenue) or Landscape / Hardscape design and build (Sod, patios, decks, fences, retaining walls, longer timeline, better margins, etc..)? Currently we are doing both but it is proving to be an absolute nightmare to manage. Both sides of my business seem so different, recurring small jobs with many clients versus large projects with one client. Currently Landscape ? Hardscape is the majority of our topline, but it is very nice to have that recurring revenue from the lawncare. Plus I do not see a way to stop my mow list without effecting my reputation. I also see a very realistic reality in which the lawncare list overtakes the landscaping. Lawncare seems much easier to scale and automate. Without a doubt we will continue to do spring, fall cleanups and snow removal as we make too much revenue in those couple months, this makes me lean more towards maintenance as those go hand in hand. I just do not know what to do, any suggestions?10Views0likes0CommentsLooking to scale, need advice
Hello, I am just seeking advice, I am a one man crew (with 1-2 helpers when available) for Lawn care, Parging & Snow removal (all insured). I am getting a large quantity of calls, bookings & deposits. But how can a sole proprietor scale up from me, to a crew of 5 and pay $25 an hour and be able to keep them working for months, or years to come? I cant see the "vision" of how to achieve that, sure I can get more clients. But its definitely tough with the massive undercuts of prices. Just some friendly advice will do, thanks all! I’ve been in customer service and other areas for years including public safety, but I am still trying to figure the best way to start/set up my business. I understand the management process, logistics side and other aspects following that including being an intern. I guess what I’m asking is if someone can give me advice on that area to help broaden my horizons and vision of owner/employee I should say. I am looking into the home services side, ie lawn care, landscape, concrete, pressure washing, outdoor construction (gazebos, arbor), etc. I’m open minded accepting and grateful for any advice or criticism from everyone. Thank you in advance. Najee Reynolds13Views0likes0CommentsYour Wellness Voice Matters – Take Our 2-Minute Survey!
