Jobber Roadmap
I didn't find a topic that I thought fit to post this so I figured I would try here since I want some Insight. I came here from Housecall Pro. One of the things they had that I loved as a published website roadmap. That way we could see what type of items the Devs had planned and were working on. Not everything had a timeline on release but it at least let us know the devs heard us and would eventually implement it. That helped us know to stop asking for the same features over and over again. It also showed what had already been pushed out. So if you missed the publishing, you could still see the updates and feature releases there. They also had a form for you to submit ideas and then people could upvote it. That let others know if we were having the same problem to collaborate on work arounds and solutions while also letting the developers know what items were most wanted by the most people. We would have the ability to do most of that here easily with a simple Topic of "Feature Requests". I'm sure I'm preaching to the Choir here when I say we are too busy to call the success line every time we wish Jobber had a feature.Solved17Views0likes2CommentsHow do locksmith businesses handle vehicle key pricing with hundreds of SKUs? What's your quoting strategy?
Hello, I run a locksmith company and Jobber has been fantastic beyond description for my business for Residential and Commercial work. However I do an extraordinary number of vehicle keys. My problem here becomes that there are Thousands and thousands of skus for car keys. I have one of the smallest inventories I know and its still almost 600 SKUs of just car keys for various Y/M/M. To put it into perspective, my supplier has 165 different Keys just for Ford. The pricing for them is all over the place too from a few cents to several hundred dollars. My old system was designed around this so while you did have to build the pricing database, you could quickly quote by Year, Make, and Model. Does anybody have any ideas I can try to implement to help with this pricing strategy because right now my workflow is flawed. I have to put all the information into the old system to pull the price out, then transfer that data over to jobber after the phone call is over. I use the custom fields for Y/M/M so that if I need to find Honda keys I can search "Honda" but I need a way to quickly set up jobs because this is about 50% of my business. Some examples below: 2016 Honda Civic: If your car has a Push-To-Start, we can make you a key for $260.00. If your car used a key to turn the ignition, we can make you a Remote key for $205.00 or a basic key with no buttons for $175.00. If you have a working key and want a spare, we can make a Push Start key for , a Remote key for $175.00 or a basic key for $145.00. All prices are before tax and this price may change if additional parts or service are required. 2005 Cadillac Escalade Your key should cost $95.00 plus tax if the locks are factory original and you had one key that opened the doors and started the ignition. If you just need a spare key cut, the price is $85.00 plus tax. This price may change if additional parts or service are required. 2007 Mazda CX-7 If your car has a Push-To-Start, we can make you a key for $325.00. If your car used a key to turn the ignition, we can make you a Flip key for $265.00 or a basic key with no buttons for $165.00. Your vehicle originally required 2 keys to run correctly and we may not be able to bypass this. If you have a working key and want a spare, we can make a Push Start key for $295.00, a Flip key for $235.00 or a basic key for $135.00. All prices are before tax and this price may change if additional parts or service are required.27Views0likes2CommentsHow to back up job photos and files from Jobber?
Hey all, just wondering if this is something others have run into. A few of our clients have been talking about how they handle long-term storage of job photos and documents, especially when staff leave, or when they want to organize files outside of Jobber. Some mentioned wanting to move things to Google Drive or DropBox automatically, but Iβm not sure how common that need really is. Just curious, have you or your team thought about this? Is keeping a backup of Jobber media files part of your process, or not really a concern? Appreciate any thoughts! Josh177Views0likes2CommentsPLEASE add a kit function
Even the bottom of the barrel CRM that I'm currently using has a robust kit function. Create products with fully editable costs and quantities, then add those products to a kit (in this case, what a "service" should be). Once a kit is entered into a quote, individual products are hidden from the customer, but fully editable when creating the quote. As it is now, I have no idea what the difference between a "product" and a "service" are. They both have the same info (name, description, cost, etc). You should just be able to group products to form services. If i have a product of "labor" and a product of "receptacle". I should then be able to create a service of "Replace Receptacle". That service would consist of my labor product, and my receptacle product. Both with quantities and costs that I could edit when creating a quote. Since not all receptacles are the same, and my customer doesnt care whether its a duplex or a decor, being able to edit the cost of that receptacle, straight from the kit during quote creation, would be amazing.Solved120Views2likes8CommentsHow do you utilize reports in your business?
I am curious to hear which reports you consider most valuable in your business and what actions are taken based on those reports if anyone is willing to share. Are there reports that you use regularly in Jobber or reports that you wish were part of Jobber? If so how do you utilize the information that the reports provide? Are changes made based on the reports? Is the data used to create the reports monitored internally for consistency? Thanks for sharing all input is helpful!470Views5likes15Comments
