Using AI and Voice to Capture Job Notes and Follow-Ups in Real Time
Hi everyone, I wanted to start a discussion around how home service teams capture job notes, follow-ups, and action items during busy workdays, especially while on-site, on calls, or moving between jobs in Jobber. In many service workflows, essential details come up verbally: - Notes after a customer conversation - Follow-ups discussed on the phone - Reminders during travel between jobs These often get entered into the system later, which can lead to missed context or extra admin work at the end of the day. One approach we’ve been exploring is using AI-powered voice input through tools like Gennie, where teams can speak notes or tasks and have them synced back into their existing systems while Jobber remains the system of record. I’m interested to hear from others here: - How do you currently capture job notes or follow-ups when typing isn’t convenient? - Do you update everything in real time or batch it later? - Would voice-based input be helpful in field operations, or does it create more overhead? Looking forward to learning how others approach AI and operations in real-world home service workflows.17Views0likes0CommentsHow do you manage different level Service Contracts in Jobber?
We are currently offering one service contract; however, we are looking to create three tiers. We would have a Silver, Gold, and Platinum package. Each package/membership would offer something different. How could we effectively manage this in Jobber to keep track of which clients are on which level package? How many visits they have/have used? Payments? Etc.55Views0likes2CommentsThird Party Payment Platform Integration
Hi all, We're based in Australia and don't have access to Jobber Payments/Wallet (yes I'm devastated about it and have been patiently waiting for years 😭). We are just chasing more and more overdue invoices so we are desperate to get an automatic payment platform in use and are going to pull the trigger very soon. The one we're looking at is Pinch Payments (https://getpinch.com.au/). The problem we'll have to deal with now is that it won't sync to Jobber. It will record payments to QBO, but then we need to have these payments recorded to Jobber. We can get our admin staff to do this, no biggie. But I'm wondering if anyone else outside US/Canada has implemented a third party payment solution and what process you're using? I believe there should be a way to automate this using tools like Zapier or N8N, but I just don't have the knowledge or time to investigate this myself. Cheers!44Views0likes3CommentsSoftware
We own a general contracting company which uses Jobber but we will be starting a separate electrical contractor company this year, the previous electrician we're bringing on used Joist for his CRM/Invoicing. His "price book" was all in his head since he owned the business and did all of the invoicing himself. We would like to create or set up a price book and use flat rate pricing. We did a demo with Housecall Pro and we liked the ability to integrate Profit Rhino as well as mark up/down as needed. It does not look like Jobber has this ability so we might not set up the new company with Jobber. I saw we can import a CSV file with our products but Housecall Pro seems to be able to update prices/costs automatically all within the system. What other software have you electrician companies used that provides this service? If you have used Housecall Pro, any downsides we should keep in mind? The CEO/owner of the GC company was sitting in on the demo for Housecall Pro and really liked the Pipeline feature, which Jobber also does not have. So we're thinking about switching both companies over to Housecall Pro. All back-end accounting will be handled by QuickBooks Online so mainly need to worry about CRM/invoicing and tracking job progression from lead to completed job.298Views1like3CommentsJob Templates for repeat work
There should be an ability to create job templates for repeat types of work. Many business have some core services they offer and having to type out the titles every time and set the number of hours every time and then having to add the line items each time is a real hassle. There should be an ability to create a template where the title can be autogenerated by certain fields or criteria and times for those jobs can be preset with the default line items loaded. Then you would only need to select a client and property. Having templates like this would take a lot of the time consuming administrative burden off.23Views0likes3CommentsAutomated Task Creation?
Is there a way in Jobber to create an automatic “Task” creation que after a job is bid? For example: Sales rep goes and does a bid, customer doesn’t sign on the spot, and a “task” is automatically created on the schedule that is titled follow call. This follow up call would happen 24 hours after client received the bid. Then maybe another task creation at 3 days. And the ability to create a desired que? THIS WOULD BE IDEAL FOR AUTOMATING MY SALES TEAMS FOLLOW UP CALLS AND MAKING SURE THEY GET COMPLETED.76Views0likes3CommentsBuilding an AI online bid?
I have been messing around with the idea of creating a way for my customers to submit some information on their own through our website and AI provide them their bid for painting. Has anyone done this? Have any ideas on how to do it? And what could be the potential pros and cons of this? I'm thinking that it would need to have a customer login & portal. There would need to be a way to upload additional files. Pictures and videos of project. There would need to be a fee that is charged to use this service to try and gatekeep competitors from using it. The fee would be removed if the job is landed. There might need to be an agreement signed that unforeseen work that wasn't included in the submission could result in a change order. What would you add?36Views0likes2CommentsI want to integrate Jobber with ____________?

Hey Jobber Team and Fellow Pros, Let’s talk about a feature that could seriously boost close rates and make Jobber even more competitive for all of us who quote services, manage inventory, and work in price-sensitive markets. What we need: Tiered Pricing on Products and Services — customizable pricing where the unit cost automatically adjusts based on quantity ordered. Why this matters: We already price materials like mulch, sod, and stone this way in real life. It would speed up quoting, improve estimate accuracy, and help us win more jobs. It mirrors how customers expect to see pricing — more they buy, less they pay per unit. How it would work: Let users define pricing tiers for any product/service: 1–10 units = $10/unit 11–50 units = $8/unit 51+ units = $6/unit These price breaks should auto-calculate during estimate creation and carry through to invoicing. Why Jobber Should Care: Makes Jobber more competitive vs. other platforms offering advanced pricing features. Helps your users convert more jobs = more usage and more loyalty to Jobber. Reflects real-world pricing logic we already use outside the app. If you'd use this — drop a comment or like to help get this in front of Jobber’s dev team. Let’s get this done together!284Views7likes8Comments
