What is the best way to raise start up capitol?
I have almost 20 years experience in tree work and handyman services. My personal credit is not bad but not the greatest. Since being on my own I have had to take smaller jobs I can handle myself or with minimal help. If I had the capitol to invest in some equipment and hiring reliable workers I know I could move my company up a couple of levels . But I can't get anyone to give me a business loan with marginal credit and no history of sustained revenue. Any help???Anyone here doing government contracts? Got any advice for winning bids?

Jobber + Gusto users: How are you handling digital tips from clients without losing your mind?
Hey everyone, I’m researching a massive headache in the home service space and wanted to see how you guys handle it. If you use Jobber (or Housecall Pro) and Gusto, and your technicians regularly get digital tips from clients: How are you splitting and paying those tips out? I've been told that since the FSMs don't sync tips to Gusto payroll automatically, owners are spending hours every week matching invoice payments to dispatch logs, running the math on spreadsheets, and typing them in by hand. Is this actually a headache for your business, or is there an easy workaround I don't know about? If you have multi-technician crews, how do you handle the math (equal split, hours worked, etc.)? Does this get even messier if you use 1099 contractors? Not selling anything—just trying to understand if this is a real problem worth solving or if people have already figured out a simple way to do it. Thanks!

Good evening everyone, Are there any mobile Notary business here in the Home Service Community? I would love to hear about your experiences in starting your business. Was it an easy process? How did you find clients? Does it take a lot of money to get started? I am in the process of starting my mobile Notary business. I have the business name which is Island Signature Notary LLC. I have my logo and my brand. I am also in the process of renewing my Notary. I am going to start as a General Notary and keep adding new services. It will be great if I can be a Jobber’s grant recipient in order to assist me with growing my business. I look forward to your responses and growing with you all.
Took a job with little pay and it led to 3 bigger jobs!
I took a small painting job for this lady that could barely get around. She was so shocked that I was willing to move everything around to cover it with a helper I brought, and our it back after we finished. She had been so concerned that we were doing too much, but it really was nothing. A day's work, and we could have done far worse for someone less sweet, and it ended up bringing in 3 bigger jobs that should keep us busy for a few weeks. Never overlook the little people. I can't think of any reason you can't spend a day here and there on a smaller budget if you're doing OK with other jobs. The karma comes back around.I really need a junk removal pro in in Toronto or the GTA.
Hey guys, I am looking for a junk removal pro in my area. I have started into cleaning and sanitizing garages and sheds when they have had rodent issues. There is always a ton of junk that the homeowner has after we are done, stuff that doesn't need to go back in. I want a small guy, someone with the same business philosophy as me.
