I want to hear your stories - why’d you start your business? What goals were/are you aiming for? What have you achieved? What’s been the hardest part so far? I’m 27 and have been running my cleaning company for 3 years now. I started because I always knew I wanted more out of life - I just didn’t know how I’d get there. I tried a million jobs, launched a bunch of failed businesses… nothing stuck. I sorta stumbled into cleaning when my girlfriend (who is now my wife) worked for a cleaning company that had her buying her own supplies, driving her own car, and carrying her own insurance. At the time, I was climbing cell towers for $20/hr, risking my life and we were still broke. That’s when it clicked: if I could just get her some of her own clients, we could cut out the middleman. That was the beginning. I’ve always been good at branding, sales, customer service, and backend ops - so we went 50/50 and started our own company. It’s been a wild ride, but now we’ve hired a team, and opened multiple locations. There’s nothing in my life I’m more proud of than the way me and her have pulled through every bit of it, built a company from absolutely nothing, and came out on the other side stronger than ever.28Views1like1Comment2025 Best Year Ever

I have only been contracting for 7+ years now, but from the beginning I did not want to end of like the majority of the businesses I saw. Out of shape, back hurting, always complaining about work. Just the unapologetic rough side of contracting. I thought, this couldn't be the solution. So I started from the beginning putting myself in rooms with people who do better than me in every aspect of my life. Family, health, business, finances you name it. I was the smallest guy in every room and it squashed every ounce of pride I had in myself, but in a healthy, I want to grow sense. What I learned shocked me, this wasn't a business issue, it's about the urgent need for a blue-collar leader. - We need more contractors who are trained to lead. - More tradespeople who know their worth. - More builders willing to pass the torch. The skilled trades don’t have a labor shortage. We have a leadership gap. If you hyper focus on leadership qualities, your business will blow up as a side effect. Thats why I'm so proud to be in this community of leaders. Can't wait to learn from you all in this new venture I'm in. Read our story. Learn how we unlocked the secret to scale. https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidnour/2024/11/27/urgent-need-for-blue-collar-revival-shift-mindsets-invest-in-skills/?19Views0likes0CommentsStop Avoiding the One Thing That Could Change Everything
Let me say this .... Networking isn’t just about collecting business cards or tagging #collab on posts. It’s about putting yourself in the right rooms. With the right people. So you stop guessing and start growing. Most contractors avoid networking because they’re uncomfortable… or they think their work should speak for itself. But here’s the truth: You don’t know what you don’t know. Your next breakthrough isn’t coming from grinding harder. It’s coming from who you talk to — who challenges your thinking. So if you’re feeling stuck… maybe it’s time to expand your circle. So I ask you all ... How can I help you?11Views0likes0CommentsWhy do most contractors copy what they see — and wonder why it doesn’t work?
Hey Everyone My names Will, Im an Electrical Contractor out in the New England area (Connecticut / Massachuseets) Last year and a half, I been traveling the US speaking and working with contractors, working with them in the field and hosting podcasts... And something surprised me and it's starting to become a pattern in our industry. The biggest mistake I see tradesmen-turned-business-owners make? They chase what someone else is doing, when It comes to pricing, life styles, how they even act — Instead of figuring out what they actually need. Before you start hiring, expanding, or throwing money at tools, you need to ask yourself: What am I really trying to fix? That’s why I built this visual — a Blueprint to Defining Success — so we stop copying other businesses and start building with purpose. Would love to expose myself now and ask what do you all think?12Views0likes0CommentsAny solo cleaning business owners??
