Bunkering down and refining our internal Jobber processes to ensure our team runs a silky smooth workflow. Jobber makes it easy as pie to do this, just need to reinforce common practices within our office employees and things run like butter.

After being laid off in late April from my previous job of 14 years, I mulled over some other job openings. Ultimately I made the biggest leap of my life around the end of June to start my own handyman business. After throwing just about the last of my money at local licensing requirements, I'm officially up and running about a month ago. Still in the trenches a bit financially but it's starting to turn a corner and feeling like some real success is imminent! 

I started my rug cleaning business Pristine Clean three years ago. For the first two years, I managed everything with Google Maps for scheduling. But when I hired my second employee, I suddenly found myself juggling three different schedules on Google Maps. That’s when I realized I needed real software, something like Jobber.

The problem was that everything I tried either:

1. a) didn’t fit my budget, or
2. b) didn’t have the features I needed.

Last September I discovered Jobber. I signed up for the free trial and immediately realized it had exactly what I was looking for. Running a business in Mexico comes with its own challenges: I needed software that could handle foreign phone numbers, non-U.S. addresses, multiple currencies, and Spanish for my team members who don’t speak English. Jobber checked every one of those boxes. Plus, the customization options let me add our unique tax system here.

After fully implementing Jobber, my business has exploded. In 2025, with the help of Jobber, we grew from offering just rug, upholstery, and tile & grout cleaning to also providing window cleaning, power washing, mold remediation, fire remediation, water damage restoration, maid services, and full-scale deep residential cleaning. We grew from a team of 3 to an operation of 21.

This week, we even launched a test branch 4 hours away offering upholstery and rug cleaning. We booked the entire first week and are already on track to fill the second.

I’m 28 years old. As of today, I’ve been married to the love of my life for 8 years (happy anniversary to us). She runs our café with 8 employees, helps me manage our nail salon with 3 more, and still supports me through this wild ride. Yes, that’s three businesses.

Last week, Pristine Clean booked our biggest job yet — $8,500. Our average sale is usually around $185–$200, so this was a huge milestone.

The only two features I’m still hoping for in Jobber are:

1. Direct WhatsApp integration.
2. The ability to set a customer’s preferred language so all quotes, invoices, emails, and messages are automatically sent in that language.

Those two features alone would triple my business.

Biggest win in 2025 is when I switched over to the grow plan. It has helped with time tracking automatically as well as closing more jobs. Definitely can’t wait to see what jobber has more in store for us!! 

We’ve collaborated with local businesses as way of being part of a community. Recently it has provided us with the opportunity to acquire a local competitor and hire on cleaners.

Would love to see Jobber implement a full CRM or integrate with more 3rd party CRMs. There would be no reason to have any other client programs for my business.

Tough year for our electrical business but a win was starting a consulting business helping out other JOBBER users !
