I started a handyman business - primarily working on thumbtack. I charged a cheap rate till I got enough reviews to warrant an increase in price. I did this on my own for a year till I started getting busy enough to bring other people on.
If I had to do it all over again I would do something a lot more simple. This will make things easier when your company gets bigger. I've heard quite a few podcasts about picking up dog poop. Sounds gross but it's pretty scalable I think.
The problem with being a handyman is your going to eventually take a job or two you shouldn't, and then you'll have to make it right. A more simple service would have probably avoided a lot of those head aches.

Appreciate the honesty here. Hearing that simplicity would’ve saved headaches as you scaled is a great reality check. We’re trying to balance getting started quickly with not overcomplicating the service And scaling as well. Thanks
