For me, it was knocking on a neighbor's door and offering to do the job at a massive discount just to get my first dramatic before-and-after photo.

I didn't have a portfolio or a big reputation yet, so I needed undeniable visual proof. Once I finished that first job, I took those photos, walked right down the rest of the street, and showed the neighbors exactly what I could do. Seeing the immediate, physical results on a property they pass every single day turned cold leads into paying clients faster than any ad ever could.

If you're trying to get traction, do a job cheap or free just to get those photos, and then use that visual proof to hunt down your next five clients.

That’s solid advice, Travis. Showing proof is a great way to build trust and win clients. I appreciate the insight        -thank you

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, film selfie style videos in your uniform or in front of your work vehicle (with car magnets or a wrap), talk about who you serve and why your ideal avatar needs your services.
