I would do the same as you! I would be able to buy better equipment and save up for hiring my first employee. I’m in the same position where I would be able to pay them for the training time and let them learn with me on the job site longer.

I would use the Grant for a few different things. SEO, advertising, ordering more inventory and upgrade to a much needed truck, possibly look at hiring sooner than expected ☺️ My children and I built this business to help our community, and having extra money would help us grow faster and serve more customers

The next step in my journey would be to develop the spaces. I have by utilizing the community around the neighborhood,. There are many open projects at my facility that need to happen, but they must happen with community involvement. For example, there is a concrete driveway that has to be poured and instead of hiring someone to do it it is my mission to get community elbow grease to work along side of me because what I’m offering is the training of how to do it properly.concrete driveway. purpose of my experience is to develop discipline, and character. The method of transference will be through very hard work, very high standards and laughter and learning . It is my mission to create a space where these values can be planted and harvested. - Jeremy_Byrd_w9Contributor 2
I would use the grant to rebuild my motor ans transmission on my w900 semi as it just rolled 800,000 miles as a logging truck

Thank you for this prompt! It is great to think of already having been offered the grant, as if it was already a reality. I would use the grant to hire a full-time employee. It is just myself and one part time person working in the field and once I hire a full time, experienced employee, that will allow me to step back and focus more on design work and better business practices rather than landscape maintenance tasks. I am looking forward to this shift as I am doing it ALL myself right now and it is truly a bit exhausting and less creative than I had hoped for.

Crown Him Roofing & Construction is committed to serving those who have served our country. We regularly help veterans, seniors, and families on fixed incomes who are often unable to afford necessary home repairs. One of our most rewarding projects involved restoring a retired Marine’s deck and patio after he had battled cancer and undergone multiple surgeries. By providing quality work at a reduced cost, we helped restore not only his property but also his peace of mind.
A grant would allow us to expand our ability to serve veterans and other underserved members of our community, invest in equipment, create local jobs, and continue offering affordable, reliable home repair services. Our goal is to ensure that those who have sacrificed for others are not left behind when they need help maintaining a safe and comfortable home.

We would secure a foothold in the rural area the shop is located. I could better serve the community from auto repair, tire repair, ac, tune-ups, window tint, vehicle wrapping to auto sales and DIY.

I would give all my employees a good raise. They work their butts off everyday for me and dont complain. That would be the start, see to it my employees are taken care of. Then work on equipment needed to make everyone's jobs just a bit easier. We want to grow and continue to grow. We help a lot of elderly, so being able to budget with them to where it's not so bad on their small income would also be wonderful to be able to help them. Plus our school is small, so if we are able to send a donation for our kids to have a better future we would help their also!
