Love this question!
For us, the grant would go straight toward the things that let us scale without cutting corners on quality. Top of the list: professional-grade equipment and supplies so we can take on larger residential and commercial jobs, and certifications for our team so we’re delivering at the standard we promise our clients.
A piece would also go toward branded materials and a stronger marketing push to grow our local presence and book more recurring work.
Really it comes down to building a foundation we can grow on, the kind of investment that pays off for years, not just one busy season.

I would use the grant to fix my truck and to help a couple of Amarillo community members with a few construction projects that they could not afford.

If AKP Cleaning Company receives a Jobber Grant, we plan to invest it in three key areas: equipment, staffing, and growth.
First, we would purchase commercial-grade cleaning equipment, including carpet cleaning and floor care machines, allowing us to take on larger residential and commercial projects.
Second, we would expand our team by hiring and training additional cleaners in Calgary and Airdrie. Demand for our services is growing, and additional staff would help us serve more clients while maintaining quality standards.
Finally, we would invest in marketing, business systems, and technology to improve scheduling, customer communication, and overall efficiency.
Our goal is to build a reliable cleaning company that creates meaningful employment opportunities while delivering exceptional service to our community

I plan to use the funding for equipment for the members of the program so that they have what they need for the jobs.

Where do I begin? I was recently married so I have to change my name on all my business material as well as personal. I'm a commissioned notary public having to update my name on all my notary stamps, business cards, business bank account, insurance, commission, Remote Online Notary commission, my LLC, EIN (IRS), everywhere. I need my uniform, trademark my business, get a CNA and an attorney. Get a business office because I'm working out of car. Purchase all display material such as a banner, table cover, marketing material so I can set up my booth at networking events. Join a couple of chambers of commerce. Oh, and purchase a great color laser printer, a lot of ink and paper. I have a good black and white one, but need a color one too. https://www.journeebridgenotaryservices.com

Exciting news! I recently applied for the Jobber Grant as I work toward starting my handyman business.
This opportunity could help me invest in tools, equipment, and resources to better serve customers and continue provide quality home repair and maintenance services.
Thank you to Jobber for this opportunity to supported my business getting started!

I would use my Jobber grant to hire key employees. I started this business out of necessity with just a truck and some tools, I started working. Now, I’ve grown—I have an added van, both vehicles are properly signed, I’ve got a shop, and much more tools! I get calls every day. But I’ve reached a point where I can only do so much alone, and even less when I’m constantly answering calls. It’s time to step off the tools and put people in place to handle the work. I’m excited to provide jobs to others who need them, just like I once did. I’d also use the grant to repair the truck that got me started—it needs a new motor, and that’s a $5,000 fix. This grant would help me move from scraping by alone to building something stable—for my family and for others

If I were to get that grant he would be life-changing. I’ve been running my business for 10 years. I’ve never got a loan. I never borrowed a dollar but I’ve been struggling finding business and I usually hire people who are in recovery, drugs, and alcohol and try to teach some man new trade, but my equipment is getting to me on it even though my mechanic work thankfully I’m able to do that if I could, I wouldn’t be able to stay in business but my employee stay at a halfway house is very expensive and sometimes making their payroll very tough especially when they’re not very experienced at times right now. I’m just having trouble staying afloat volunteering and giving them back to my community, but I just can’t do it very much like I want to right now every little bit of money I get my businesse and my home and family life is suffering, but I can’t give up a lot of people who count on me, but I can’t starve to death either lose everything I’ve got you guys just don’t know how much this grant will help me

I would hire some office admin support so that I can focus on the bigger picture - having someone who can handle the day-to-day client calls and bookings would give me so much more time to focus on marketing, growth, etc. I would also love to move into a space that better suits our growing needs!
