When I will have employees I would probably do Christmas and New years off with pay.

Aldo would like to pay bonuses for performance, since I think this is crucial. As a worker myself I know how nice is to hear praise from the management. Just shows that they care for you and they appreciate you.

Would love to do some kind of team building hang out where we would have couple of days off with the whole team and their families. Just to unwind, talk future plans.

I want people that work for me to be part of the team and the company. If the company is successful, then all of us should be compensated properly.

  • We just started shutting down last year between Christmas and New Years and pay every employee to take the week off. If employees have been on board more than 1 year they receive additional week off.

We pay 1/2 of employee medical insurance and offer supplemental insurance such as eye and dental. Key to hiring committed long term employees that will not jump ship every time someone offers them $1 more per hour.

Mid-season bonus after the first spring (approximately 1st week of July) based on hours worked, company profitability and client satisfaction. I write a personal letter mentioning 1 or 2 specific accomplishments or work habits that I appreciate about that specific employee.

  • Currently they get a week off paid between Christmas and New Year.
