How does Jobber calculate routes, and can it use real driving directions instead of straight-line distance?

I am writing to express my significant frustration with the current routing functionality within the platform.

The primary issue is that the software appears to calculate routes based on "as the crow flies" distance rather than actual driving paths. Furthermore, the routing does not prioritize arrival logic that places the vehicle with the passenger side facing the customer's residence. This is a standard feature in competing routing software and is essential for the safety and efficiency of my team.

Hello! Thanks for bringing this to the community. We noticed your comment on a similar post, and I have replied there. I apologize if my answer is repetitive, but I want to validate your feedback here! I can understand how a feature that calculates driving paths would be beneficial to you and other Jobber customers. In the Jobber app, you can click the service property and open it in your maps of choice to ensure you are on the best route.

While this is not calculated in Jobber at this time, we are always looking to improve, and we will share this valuable feedback with our Product Development team.

In addition to me sharing your feedback with our team, you can use this form to provide direct feedback and elaborate on your ideal outcome :)
