Tired of chasing leads one by one? Letโ€™s land steady, local work by building real partnerships in your community.

Hey, Iโ€™m Phil Risher, business educator and owner of Phlash Consulting. I help service pros like you lock in recurring B2B jobsโ€”from churches and schools to gyms and retirement homes.

This week, Iโ€™m here to help you:

๐Ÿ‘‰
Pick the right local businesses to target
๐Ÿ‘‰ Craft a strong outreach message
๐Ÿ‘‰ Turn one-off jobs into long-term partnerships

Want feedback? Just comment with one of these:

๐ŸŒŸ A business or group you wish you could land
๐ŸŒŸ A message you sent (or want to send)
๐ŸŒŸ A partnership attempt that flopped, Iโ€™ll help troubleshoot it

Not sure where to start? Drop a question...I'm here all week until August 4.

Letโ€™s turn your next community connection into your biggest contract yet. ๐Ÿ™Œ

  • Hi there! I own a plumbing & HVAC company in PHX. What sorts of contractors do you recommend for multi-trade companies like us? Handyman? Roofers? What else?

Yeah mold companies because they may not touch the plumbing stuff. Also, electrical contractors, because you do not do that trade, could be a nice partnership.

Hi Phil! Quick question: I own a locksmith business and work with a number of property managers/realtors, as well as property management groups. Could this strategy work with existing clients (as the community tends to be pretty close-knit), or is it preferable to go for new partnerships exclusively?

I would add your existing people to a monthly/quarterly newsletter, educating them and staying top of mind with recent projects and making it simple for them to submit leads or referrals. AND get new partners. I would imagine apartment turnover companies would be good for switching locks, and also carpet cleaning companies or any other people that touch renters.

Hey Phil, could you share a few examples of what I can say to get people interested in partnering with my business?

You are not the hero, they are the hero. Think about what's in it for them. Your techs can make an extra $50 per job by referring us, your customers will be more sticky because you do this service now through us, you don't have to "try" and do this service when people ask because you can use us.

  • Hey Phil! My team and I thoroughly enjoyed your webinar this morning. Thanks a bunch.

Who might you suggest as a B2B referral/partner for a cleaning company? We do both residential and commercial. TYIA

Awesome! Carpet cleaning companies are the easiest ones because they are offering a similar service but not quite and it could go both ways. Also, realtors could give a 1 time cleaning as a gift to new home owners valid in the first 90 days of closing. Title companies could do the same.

  • Hi Phil, I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise with us in the  webinar and on this forum! I received ton of value and am excited to implement a B2B referral program for my window cleaning business.
Iโ€™m barely past a year into my business journey so Iโ€™m still a single owner/operator at the moment and basically learning as I go. I am thinking some complementary trades for window cleaning works be: lawn care, pressure washing (if they donโ€™t do windows), window/door/siding contractors, and maybe even my local glass companies?

What about other window cleaners? Is there a way for me to reach out and build a relationship with them that you suggest? Not necessarily just for referrals.

    Thanks for your time Phil!

Yeah and gutter cleaning companies too because they are close to windows but usually dont do it. As for building relationships with other window cleaners, it cant hurt to be an overflow option for them and vise versa.
