Asking for Reviews

I have always been pretty bad at asking for reviews when i finish a project and i am trying to change this moving forward.

Is there a way to categorize customers by who has and has not given you a review?

 I will have my secretary call and email previous customers moving forward to give us a review but i want to make sure we mark this down so that we are not constantly asking the same customers.

  • Jobber has a native (paid) feature to automatically send out reviews. We use NiceJob and integrate it with Jobber. We we close a job, NiceJob starts a campaign to ask for a review. It'll send one text and three emails over a course of the month. They stop getting communications when they click on the link I think.

    Or, if you don't want to pay, you just need to setup an SOP to ask the customer if they can leave you a review and immediately send them a link directly to your Google Business Profile (or wherever you want the review). Then, if they don't, then follow up in two days. And then if they don't, follow up in 5 days. Etc...

    I think setting up automation is a great idea but I've found that asking for a review in person provides the highest conversion. 

    We have "Tap Cards", and have our employees walk through the completed work with the client after each job and then ask them for a review. The client can just tap our card with there phone and it'll bring them directly to the google review link. It's worked well for us. 

  • If you use the NiceJob integration it will actually show you right in Jobber if the client has given you a review before. And you can choose at that point to either ask for a review in Jobber or not ask for a review.

    We are trying to ask for it multiple ways. Using the Jobber text function we have our office secretary send out a text stating the following.  Thank you very much for your recent purchase from Fence Masters. We deeply value your business. If you were satisfied with your experience, we kindly ask you to take a moment to leave a review on Google to assist others in finding us. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. https://g.page/r/CSkcLUQ9j7yzEAE/review

    Then we also created cards with a QR code that links to leaving a google review offering money off their final invoice for a review. We haven't used these yet as we just had them designed. Also want to just test the texting version first because that saves us money. 

    For each job we have we have a job folder and on those folders we have an area to designate if a request for a review has been made or not. A simple way for us to keep track. Hope this helps!
