Best way to get clients in the winter
I run a gardening business in the winter we sell Planters, I usually reach out to clients and post an add on FB other than that I'm at a loss for where to find more clients. Does cold calling still work? Should I creep around and see who has empty planters?

Have you thought about setting up an affiliate program with other local businesses? You can have them sell you planters for you for a discounted price, so they can make a little money on the back end.
And, Facebook is the billion dollar bloodhound. If you're running ad’s there its best to split test and optimize and stick with it.- BloomingBeeContributor 2
Oh that's a good idea, what is a split test?

Split test, also called an A/B test, is when you run 2 versions of something and see which one performs/converts better and then you move forward with the winner being your standard. Ideally you want the difference between A and B to be isolated so you're confident it was that single difference that was better or worse. --- i.e. an ad with the exact same wording but the picture is different between ad A and ad B

We run an Excavating company and is very slow in the winter months. We recently added concrete and material crushing to do in the winter. We joined a FB add class to learn how to successfully run paid ads on FB to target our specific demographic. That could be an option, time to learn a new skill!
