Hi I’ve been in the same type field as your starting now for over 20 years and the absolute best advice I can give you is always do what you say your going to do. Example if you tell a customer you’re going to show up at 8:00 in the morning, then show up at 8:00. If by chance you’re not going to make it by 8:00, then make a courtesy call. Another example, you tell a customer that you’re going to bring in two loads of stone for the driveway. Then by all means bring in two loads of stone. Telling a customer one thing and then doing another will be your worst enemy. Try not to promise more than you can deliver or even promising more than the job needs. When your trying to sell your business and yourself to a potential customer, it’s so easy to promise the world and that could definitely be the factor of getting the job but when you promise something and then do not follow up on that promise then your credibility goes out the window. So just do what you say you’re going to do and work hard and you will be okay. Thanks
