Networking is huge! Its all about who you know. The hardest part of landing most commercial jobs is getting to speak to the right person in the first place. Anyways to stay on topic: I joined a local BNI group last year my first year in business and just the referrals I got in that one group alone accounted for a 1/3 of the business I did my first year. I would highly recommend checking out networking groups that could work for you like BNI, Chamber of Commerce, etc. Some cost money, some make you attend a weekly meeting, etc. Other than that my two cents is get a good website with SEO and as you can afford to do so start spending a little in Facebook and some in Google Ads. Between those two you should figure out which one gets you more business after running both for a period of time and then fuel the fire. Last note: I personally think if you have a service business and your halfway decent at what you do the residential side of your business will grow naturally, so I personally would recommend to chase the commercial business and start growing that as fast as you can. Good Luck
