One of the best insights I've picked up from this community this week...
I recently started a discussion asking: "What's one Jobber feature you wish you had started using sooner?" One response really stood out to me. The member mentioned that while many businesses use Jobber to manage jobs, schedules, quotes, and invoices, one feature that often gets overlooked is the Marketing Suite. The point they made was simple but powerful: Many of us do a great job serving customers, but we don't always stay connected with them after the work is done. Instead of only reaching out when it's time to sell something, sending regular educational emails and staying active on social media helps keep your business top of mind. When customers eventually need your services again, or know someone who does they're much more likely to remember you. They also shared that Jobber's upcoming Marketing Calendar will make planning emails and social posts much easier, especially for teams that collaborate on marketing. It got me thinking, How many of us already have a list of past customers but rarely communicate with them? A simple monthly email with seasonal tips, maintenance reminders, or homeowner advice could be enough to keep those relationships alive. I'm curious: How often do you market to your existing customers, and what's worked best for you? I'd love to hear what others are doing.3Views0likes0Comments$20k in First Month – How to Push Margins from 20% to 30%?
Hey everyone, I’m just about a month into running my home service business and wanted to share where I’m at + get some advice. We’re on track to finish around ~$20k in revenue in the first month. Current breakdown: Contractors: 62% Expenses (VA, tools, etc.): 18% Net profit: ~20% Overall, I’m happy with the start, but I know there’s room to improve margins. For those more experienced: Would you focus first on raising prices or reducing contractor costs? What contractor % do you aim for at scale? Any early changes that helped you break into the 25–30% range? Appreciate any insight—working on tightening systems and scaling the right way.138Views5likes2CommentsAre you Sleeping on Jobber's Add-Ons?
Guys! i just want to say - DO NOT sleep on all the extras! I've been feeling like i wasn't getting a lot out of Jobber as I was only using it as a scheduling and invoicing platform, but I've been quite focussed on scaling my cleaning company lately, so i decided to start using more features Jobber has to offer... Im impressed! I didn't know i was missing out on so much! the email marketing, referrals, and google analytics are incredible! worth every penny! I've seen mixed reviews on the AI receptionist... should I add that on as well? I do Google LSA (pay per phone call) and I'm a bit nervous about having AI take those calls...248Views2likes2CommentsJobber Campaigns Tips and Tricks
I love the Campaigns feature. I build a newsletter with it every month and I only sent it to clients to haven't booked with us for over 4 years at first, then each month I drop the months since serviced section down to raise the number of past clients reached. I do this so I don't overwhelm the phone lines, and eventually I will just have all the clients get it each month. I also tag my unsubscribe clients so they will never get a newsletter in the future, since right now each month is a one off campaign. I can adjust the filters to keep them out of the loop. I wish there was a way to add a gif file though. I add Before and After pics that I edit together on Canva, which is doing the trick for now to get the point across. One more tip that I've been playing with for my newsletters is using Dall.e on Chat GPT to create a header image that will be specific to our industry. I'd love to hear any other tips and tricks!491Views10likes10Comments
