How do you manage different level Service Contracts in Jobber?
We are currently offering one service contract; however, we are looking to create three tiers. We would have a Silver, Gold, and Platinum package. Each package/membership would offer something different. How could we effectively manage this in Jobber to keep track of which clients are on which level package? How many visits they have/have used? Payments? Etc.36Views0likes2CommentsHow can I create an invoice for the deposit?
When doing certain commercial work the client will ask us to send them an invoice for the deposit. This isn't typically how Jobber works as the invoice isn't created until the job is closed usually. What is the best way to send a customer an invoice before having the quote signed, deposit paid, or the job completed? Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance!19Views0likes2CommentsWhat Are the Best Practices for Expanding Painting Service Contracts?
I have a painting service contract for our customers. It has worked out well for the last year but we haven't signed up a lot of customers. I think we have 15 customers on service contracts right now. I really want to vamp this up but I am hoping to get insight from other businesses on best practices for service contracts. I'm also trying to figure out if I should just sell as many as I can and then hire a full time person to service those clients, or keep slowly adding them until I can hire someone full-time to do it. I have been hesitant to go after this super hard because I don't want to be in a position where I can't get to our service contract clients for too long.59Views0likes1CommentHow to start an in house training center for painting?
I am looking for feedback on starting a training center for residential painting. We have a shop but it is kind of small for what I am looking at doing. Is there any creative ways I could go about purchasing, or leasing a building that is specifically for training and education? My goal would be to hire on young men and women who are interested in the painting trade and have a facility to train them in before they every step foot on a job. For example, there would be a class room to learn about products and applications. Then there would be actually rooms built out and small exterior walls build out with different substrates to actually train applications. I would hire some of my current employees to be paid extra to run classes and training. What do you think? Am I dreaming too big or is this something I could accomplish? How could I go about making this happen?8Views1like1CommentHow do you balance kindness and strict standards as a business owner?
My personal values are very important to me as a business owner. Being a person of faith I care deeply about people. For years I have struggled to find this balance between kindness and compassion and strict standards. For those of you that have hearts for people and want to be kind and compassionate...how do you help your team rise to the occasion without having to seem heartless and only care about the bottom line?9Views0likes0CommentsHow to implement safety meetings? I am a painting company. Have any of you hired a general manager and stepped away from the day to day operations of your business? How did you go about it? Was there a revenue metric you aimed for? Do you put on an annual customer appreciation dinner/event for your customers? Maybe a cookout, or a dinner at a nice restaurant? I am thinking of doing this to engage with clients and build even better relationships for the purpose of repeat work and referrals. If your company is doing this, or has done this please share your feedback.106Views2likes9CommentsAutomated Task Creation?
Is there a way in Jobber to create an automatic “Task” creation que after a job is bid? For example: Sales rep goes and does a bid, customer doesn’t sign on the spot, and a “task” is automatically created on the schedule that is titled follow call. This follow up call would happen 24 hours after client received the bid. Then maybe another task creation at 3 days. And the ability to create a desired que? THIS WOULD BE IDEAL FOR AUTOMATING MY SALES TEAMS FOLLOW UP CALLS AND MAKING SURE THEY GET COMPLETED.59Views0likes3Comments
