Creating different vendors for same product

I am trying to set up the products for a landscape business and we have three main suppliers for the same products - meaning, for example, one type of plant that we can purchase from vendors.

What is the easiest way to set this up in Jobber?  Would love some options - I have an idea of one - to combine the vendor name with the actual "name" of the product (create in Excel, combine columns into one before uploading)

Any suggestions?  Thank you!

Hi there, thanks for the questions! It sounds like you are on the right track, which sounds like a great idea. Is the ultimate goal to be able to track which vendors you are ordering from?

Yes it is.  We use a bid process with the "highest" price for that and then purchase from the best price - what works the best for this?

Thanks for following up! I think your plan will work great, with the vendor name and the plant name as the Product name in Jobber. In my experience with plant vendors, those lists update frequently, so merging the two columns, if that works, would be ideal. Our Success Team would happily dig in and help you find an easy workflow for updating your products and services as needed.
