For people running and scheduling several crews, any tips to help...make that easier? I usually use week view to schedule jobs, and as I am growing and have more than one crew, and crews are going to jobs at the same times... any specific tips to help with having that more organized?  I am using the color coding a little, but any specific ways that you guys have tried, that have really helped, would be greatly appreciated (or any other help scheduling would be great!)

Thanks!!!

  • We run multiple crews and use color coding too.  But we also have three divisions.  Currently we are running 3 Jobber subscriptions for those three divisions, but I'm looking for further ways to organize crews so that we could possibly eliminate the cost of at least one of our subscriptions.  So, I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone has any ideas.  I was thinking of just filtering users on the schedule view, but it would be much easier if we could create user groups (ie. one group for each division).  Then we could just toggle between groups to view their respective schedules for each day/week/month.  I think a grouping function would also be handy for multiple crews within one division which would also help Bryon...so maybe Jobber could make that available?

  • We have 8 crews and we utilize color coding and the “week view” specifically. A nicely scheduled calendar typically alignes the colors above each other so you can see each crew vertically. Also we have the team lead and the partner assigned so that the crews are pre set.

  • We run lot of crews. I prefer the day view and scroll around that way.  Color coding can be for service type or area as well.  I find that closer colors to closer areas are great view of less drive time scheduling.
