🌟 Free Social Media Audit - Ask-an-Expert! 🌟

Check out Kasy's Top Learnings from reviewing 50+ social media accounts! đź‘€

Hey friends! I’m Kasy Allen, and I’ll be your Ask-an-Expert sidekick in the Jobber Community starting August 13th.

We’re diving into all things social media: what’s working, what’s not, and how to make your page pull in the right clients without making you want to throw your phone into the void.

With 20+ years in digital marketing (yep, before TikTok dances were a thing) and a heart for helping small, local businesses grow, I’ll be offering bite-sized, personalized audits of your socials... think: quick wins, smart tweaks, and zero fluff.

Here’s how to jump in:

👉 Drop ONE social link in the comments (Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok) and starting August 13th, I'll spend the week auditing your socials.

👉 I’ll give you feedback on:

  • First impression (bio, visuals, all that jazz)
  • Your content strategy (what’s landing, what needs a refresh)
  • How well you’re showing up for your local community

You’ll walk away with tips you can actually do something with (no 80-slide webinars required).

💡Heads up: I’ll review the first link you drop so I can give each person thoughtful, no-BS feedback.

Can’t wait to dig in and help you turn scrolls into sales. Let’s do this! 👊

🔺 Please note: Due to the high level of interest in this session, Kasy may not be able to complete every review. She'll do her best to get through as many as possible, prioritizing those submitted earliest. Thanks for understanding—and thanks for showing up in such a big way! (This post will be closed on August 19 at 5:00 pm MST)

Hey Katrina, I love what you're doing here, this is a great example of what to do to make your page SHINE!

      First Impressions

      • This is the perfect example of turning something that could be seen as “boring” into binge-worthy content. The page is visually cohesive, inviting, and encourages me to hit “play” on your videos immediately.
      • Your use of video + community focus is exactly the formula we teach small businesses. We just launched a similar “featured local businesses” series and, like you, saw amazing engagement - it works.
      • Owner & team photos? Gold. They make you approachable, trustworthy, and human.
      • Branded Highlights (especially that Before/After) are stellar - clean, consistent, and easy to navigate.
      • Photography & video quality are high, which instantly elevates the brand.
      • For anyone else reading this: This is exactly how you turn service-industry social media from “meh” to memorable.

      Content Strategy

      • Engagement is strong, which tells me you’re already hitting the right notes with your audience.
      • I don’t see obvious “dead weight” posts (content that gets little to no interaction). That’s rare, keep up what’s working.
      • Emoji usage varies: some posts have a lot, others none. Consistency helps reinforce your tone. If you’re using AI to draft and then editing before posting (smart move), just keep an eye on overuse so the captions stay natural.
      • I noticed the keywords at the bottom of posts. While this is the ole' SEO tactic to get eyes, it can also feel spammy. Test weaving those keywords into your captions naturally instead.
      • Font choices are great. The cursive accent with your main font is a subtle but effective marketing move. Just make sure the cursive emphasizes the most important word(s) in the graphic so it reinforces your message visually.

      Community Presence

      • You’re showing up for your community, and it’s paying off. The local business highlight videos are epic.
      • Getting the owner on camera is a huge win. Most owners hide from the lens, but they’re the best people to connect with the audience.
      • Little moments like “Cute Overalls” posts are genius, they’re relatable, seasonal, and still keep your brand subtly in frame.
      • Lean even more into your brand colors. Bold, consistent color blocking (similar to how Thomas Plumbing does it, https://www.instagram.com/thomasplumbingnc/) makes your posts instantly recognizable in a busy feed.

      Quick Win Checklist:

      • Keep producing community-focused video content
      • Test integrating keywords naturally in captions instead of listing them
      • Tighten emoji use for a consistent brand tone
      • Ensure cursive font highlights the key takeaway word in each graphic
      • Explore more bold brand color blocking for extra visual pop

💡 Pro Tip: You’ve already nailed the hardest part - getting people to care. Now it’s about sharpening those small brand details so every scroll-stopper is instantly recognizable as you.

      First Impression

      • Positive: Beautiful photography starting June 18 really elevates the quality of your feed... looks like you may have upgraded your camera, and it shows.
      • Quick Fix: Strengthen your intro by replacing “and more” with a specific service or benefit. Make every word count in that prime real estate.

      Content Strategy

      • Positive: You’ve got a few videos in the mix, and your captions are clean; in other words, no sign of overused emojis or AI content.
      • Quick Fix: Add variety with before/after shots, reviews, and team photos to help followers connect with your work and your people. Build an editorial calendar to post consistently and start growing engagement.

      Community Presence

      • Positive: Location is clearly listed, which helps local customers know you serve their area.
      • Quick Fix: Engagement is low, likely due to the small follower base. Check your analytics to find which posts perform best and double down on those formats. Partner with other local businesses or community pages for cross-promotion to help increase reach.

      Quick Win Checklist

      • Replace “and more” in your intro with a clear, specific service or unique selling point.
      • Add before/after photos, client reviews, and team shots for trust-building content.
      • Create an editorial calendar to post consistently and boost engagement.
      • Review analytics to identify and replicate top-performing post types.
      • Collaborate with local businesses for mutual exposure and more shares.

        First Impression

        • Positive: Branded cover photo with a clear tagline makes it obvious you’re a painting company.
        • Quick Fix: The image is a bit pixelated, and it looks like a stock photo of a family painting their own house, which might unintentionally encourage DIY instead of hiring you. Swap it for a high-quality image of your work or team.

        Content Strategy

        • Positive: Consistent branding across posts shows professionalism and polish.
        • Quick Fix: Right now, the feed is ad after ad, which can turn followers off from engaging. Add variety with team photos, before/after transformations, project progress shots, and short videos. An editorial calendar can help create that balance and build engagement.

        Community Presence

        • Positive: You’re showcasing reviews, which builds trust with potential customers.
        • Quick Fix: Engagement is minimal likely because the content feels sales-heavy. Incorporate local stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and posts that invite conversation. Also, add your location to the intro for better local SEO and clarity.

        Quick Win Checklist

        • Replace cover photo with a high-quality image of your own work or team.
        • Add team photos, project before/afters, and in-progress shots to humanize the brand.
        • Break up ad-heavy posting with community-focused or educational content.
        • Build an editorial calendar to ensure a mix of content types.
        • Include your location in the intro for better visibility in local searches.

      First Impression

      • Positive: Your visual branding is lovely - those green accents and team photos give a vibrant, unified feel to your feed.
      • Quick Fix: Try subtle color blocking in your posts to increase scroll-stopping impact - think bold green backdrops or accent panels that align with your brand palette.

      Content Strategy

      • Positive: Seeing the owner shine through in videos builds authenticity and connection... keep it up.
      • Quick Fix: You’re using AI-generated captions, which is okay, but make sure every post reflects you: edit AI content to sound more like your voice, and trim back emojis for clarity.

      Community Presence

      • Positive: Those location notes in your intro clarify who you serve which is great for trust and local connection.
      • Quick Fix: Engagement is lower than expected for your follower count. Curious if Facebook is getting you more engagement? Run a local giveaway (e.g. “Tag a friend who needs a free eco-clean!”) to spark interaction. Partnering with nearby businesses can also boost reach.

      Quick Win Checklist

      • Add branded color blocking to create visual consistency and stop-the-scroll moments.
      • Edit AI-generated content to reflect your voice and trim back emojis.
      • Maintain video content with the owner front and center.
      • Partner with local businesses for shared posts and audience crossover.
      • Test a local giveaway to increase interaction and visibility.

      Hello BlueSkies!

      First Impression

      • Positive: Strong local presence and a personable brand that comes across as approachable.
Quick Fix: Update the cover photo. Christmas lights in summer can confuse first impressions; use a fresh lawn care image that reflects the current season and core services.

      Content Strategy

      • Positive: On-camera appearances are a great strength - your personality connects well with the audience. Seasonal lawn tips are driving strong engagement.
      • Quick Fix: Add more before/after shots to showcase the visible results of your work. Lawn care is highly visual, and transformation content will set you apart.

      Community Presence

      • Positive: You’re building connection by showing up authentically and offering helpful tips. There’s a strong base to grow from.
      • Quick Fix: Review analytics to identify top-performing content and double down on those formats. Explore cross-promotions with local businesses and highlight customer testimonials or community events.

      Quick Win Checklist

      • Replace cover photo with a seasonal lawn care image
      • Post consistent before/after project photos
      • Review analytics to find top-performing content
      • Seek out 1–2 local business partners for cross-promotion
      • Introduce customer testimonials or spotlights into the content mix

💡 Pro Tip: You’ve already nailed relatability and trust. The next step is making your content more instantly recognizable: before/after visuals paired with a consistent seasonal look will give you both credibility and stopping power in the feed.

      First Impression

      • Positive: Love that you’re using color blocking in your feed, that’s completely on point to build a strong brand on social media.
      • Quick Fix: Spell out that service area to help improve searchability – what does SWFL stand for?

      Content Strategy

      • Positive: Your video content is strong… keep showing up on camera!
      • Quick Fix: You only have 13 posts and the timing is a bit spaced out. Consider building an editorial calendar to help with keeping things consistent.

      Community Presence

      • Positive: The “family owned” mention already builds trust it positions you as local, reliable, and personable.
      • Quick Fix: Tap into local engagement: highlight a client’s cooling setup or collaborate with nearby businesses (even shout out a local real estate agent or supplier partner).

      Quick Win Checklist

      • Strong use of color blocking makes the brand instantly recognizable in-feed.
      • Spelling out your service area (instead of “SWFL”) will boost searchability and make it clearer for new visitors, but if your audience recognizes SWFL, definitely keep it!
      • Video content is engaging and positions you as the face of the brand.
      • Posting is a bit sporadic; an editorial calendar will help you keep momentum and stay top-of-mind.
      • You can strengthen local ties further by featuring client installs or partnering with other local businesses for cross-promotion.

💡 Pro Tip: Your videos already give you a strong personal brand edge - lean into short, educational “did-you-know” style clips to stay top-of-mind and easy to share.

Hello Will! Thanks for being the first to comment - ready to get this started? Let's go!

      First Impression

      • Positive: You’ve established instant authority with a verified blue check and strong follower count, and your intro content makes it clear what you’re about - people know they’re in the right place from the start. Engagement is strong, and the electrical niche is clearly defined, giving you a solid foundation to grow your coaching brand. Showing up on video also adds a layer of trust and relatability.
      • Quick Fix: Fill out your highlight boxes with clear, branded categories like Education, Podcast, Growing a Business, and Behind-the-Scenes, so new visitors can dive deeper into your content. Developing brand guidelines - colors, fonts, tone, and even music style - will help shape your coaching identity, while color blocking or branded imagery can make your grid instantly recognizable and stop scrollers in their tracks.

      Content Strategy

      • Positive: Consistency is your biggest strength. You’re producing video content regularly, and your captions are clean, easy to read, and written in the same language your audience uses. It’s clear you’re editing them to feel authentic: light on emojis and free of unnecessary clutter. Most posts are landing well, and your teaching content boosts your authority and credibility both socially and from a broader EEAT (experience, expertise, authority, trust) perspective.
      • Quick Fix: To level up, consider experimenting with your music choices and narrowing them into a “brand sound” once your guidelines are set. The AI-generated images are fine for testing, but they do read as AI... mix in real-life photos and branded graphics to see what resonates most. The final layer of growth is structure: create an editorial calendar that balances education, coaching insights, industry commentary, and client wins so your feed becomes both valuable and varied.

      Community Presence

      • Positive: You’ve built a genuine community in your sweet spot with electricians, and the engagement you’re getting from peers and respected voices in your industry (Contractor Rhino included) validates your credibility.
      • Quick Fix: The next step is to amplify those partnerships and collaborations more visibly on your feed. At the same time, take a step back to define your ideal follower persona. Who exactly are they? What is their biggest pain point? And what transformation are they hoping to achieve by following you? Once this picture is crystal clear, every caption, story, and video can speak directly to that person, deepening connection and driving growth.

      Quick Win Checklist

      • Fill out highlight categories with branded topics
      • Develop brand guidelines (colors, fonts, tone, music style)
      • Add color blocking or branded imagery for feed consistency
      • Create an editorial calendar to balance content themes
      • Double down on EEAT posts: teaching, industry commentary, and news features

💡 Pro Tip: You’ve already got trust and authority in your niche. Now it’s about making your content instantly recognizable in-feed and dialing in the systems to scale it.
