It seems like every marketing company takes your money and provides no results. Has anyone had any luck with a company that’s actually driven more business to your business.

I'm getting slammed with marketing companies that want my business right now. I took a meeting from one that proposes to do SEO for my Google My Business profile. Part of their offering is Map Citations, which they do by creating a custom map in Google My Maps, and adding pins all over my territory with links to my page, my profile, and descriptions of what I do, titled with targeted key words. They say google scans this information and builds authority. I've never heard of this. Is this a real thing?
