What ai/automated workflows do you use for your home service business?

I want to better implement AI into my landscaping business out in Arizona. What workflows do you use to better help everything run smoothly or save time? Here's what I have going so far:

  • Field crew uses ChatGPT or Claude to troubleshoot issues
  • I use it for rough calculations of the material and time it will take for the job
  • writing specific contracts for customers
  • Handling mistakes on projects when it comes to client communication
  • Training manuals and internal SOP creation
  • Captions and storyboards for social media posts
  • Ad copy for marketing
  • Financial analyzation for profit and growth
  • Finding gaps in my business for course correction

Utilize jobber API and phone service API to handle client scheduling and communication when stuff gets backed up. Also sends a message daily of where crews are at and what we have coming up. This is just some of the basics of what it can do. API calls are kind of the next step up for Ai usage from primarily sound boarding to really acting like an employee. Opens up a lot of possibilities.

  • I am looking into the Jobber app. I currently use Polisa for my website and it is supposed to do outreach. It took days to get it to upload my pictures, then had the wrong information on the pictures. Then is wanted to charge me to fix its mistake.  I do not recommend it at all.  Jobber looks like a more complete package for what I am looking for.

Jobber is great as an all-in-one, I pretty much only use Jobber and CompanyCam.

After being locked up for 3 years I'm just now starting to start my lawn care back and it's kind of hard so I just use chat AI app to help me figure out like you know flyers and business questions I have

Great job on getting everything turned around! It can be a learning curve using AI, but it is so worth it; it saves me about 10-12 hours a week in just admin work. Also, I bought Mike Andes' flyer templates from his website; they are fire, and they actually work well.

  • We use Claude.

Originally we were just using AI to answer questions, but over time we mapped out our workflow and connected a ton of APIs between the software we use.

Now when a lead submits a form on our website, AI generates a price range based on rules we’ve set, sends an automated email, creates the lead in our CRM, sends a text message, and kicks off the next steps in the process.

We also use it to think through business problems and process improvements.

Took a lot of YouTube nights and trial and error, but it’s saved us a ton of admin time.

This is exactly my AI estimater SaaS does. When a customer submits the form on your website and reaches Jobber as a Request.  Then, It reaches my SaaS in realtime through webhook.
It immediately makes a estimate and keeps it ready, through a knowledgebase and SOP and prices that you can setup and upload
I am really looking for Jobber beta users.  It will be great if you can DM  me and see if this suits your workflow.

That's a solid setup. I use Claude similarly.. drafting contracts, scoping jobs, and working through business problems. Haven't connected it to APIs yet but that's the direction I'm heading. Good to see it working at that level for a service business.

We have AI assist in the hiring process using a platform called EmployJoy. It grades them based on the interview, provides insights for training/coaching, and evaluates them during ramp-up with a core value analysis!
