Strategies for Explaining Your Contract to Your Client
Contracts are a tough subject. First of all, that word in of itself elicits a negative chemical reaction in the brain so don't call it the contract to your customers. It's called an agreement. But just because you have something in the agreement, doesn't mean that you are completely off the hook and they customer reads and understands it. The reason I'm even writing this is every once in a while, a customer approves a time and materials job then our technician shows up and the conditions the customer presented make it impossible to perform the service. In our agreement, we have a "failed job" clause where they get charged $150. Our technician planned their day around the job, we did our best to assess it ahead of time but sometimes the customer doesn't know or hides details. This is clearly stated in our contract. I've tried to "enforce" this a few times but it always leaves a negative taste in their mouth. This also applies to leaving pets out while we are working, change orders and all sorts of things we have written out in a policies and procedures contract. I don't think it's enough to just put it in the contract. Try these things: If the job is big enough, go over all the most important items with them in person. Have a landing page telling them what happens next and who to contact Make a fun video going over some of the items Check This Out Main thing is don't assume they read it because they probably didn't. If you do it in person, use a Plaud unit and send them a summary of the convo after. Don't be that person that tries to just say "well it was in the contract". What is everyone's experience with describing contracts to customers?28Views0likes2CommentsUsing Claude API and Facebook/Instgram API For Social posting
Curious if anyone else here has implemented API's into their websites. I just figured out how to enable Claude API and Facebook/Instgram API's to automaticall generate instagram/facebook descriptions, alt tags, and hashtags by clicking a button. Then I can click another button to uplaod directly to FB and IG. It's made my image gallery uploads and social uploads to my IG and FB pages a breeze. Huge game changer! I even have my stats in my site now and can comment on posts and DM's all through my site without having to go into my social platforms anymore. If anyone would like help with this, please let me know, would be glad to walk you through it.62Views1like6CommentsMissed call / Auto text back AI agent
I see a lot of people have these set up with High Level. Is this a game changer do I need this? I do have a human admin that takes all our calls during the day, but sometimes she's already on that line or she's busy, and we miss the odd call. Just thinking I should probably set this up. Looking for some feedback. Thanks a lot.41Views1like2CommentsJobber API - What are you guys up too??
Hey everyone, with vibe coding now becoming so accessible to everyone.Connecting to the API of Jobber has never been easier. I would love to know what kind of systems and automations you guys have been building by vibe coding things and connecting to the Jobber API? I'll go first: https://captured-output-analyticshireoutp-d17c6a9a.base44.app Dashboard I built with realtime data I have an Base 44 agent connected to the API of jobber - currently, I have it looking for new photos in Jobber and then uploading those to my Google Drive, where I can post them to social media using Go High Level. I have vibe coded our own version of asana, and I'm going to build in a production pipeline that's directly connected to Jobber So my production coordinator knows where all our jobs are at the moment. Let's hear it. What am I missing?63Views1like6CommentsHow Fast Do You Pick Up a Phone Call or Call Someone Back After a Missed Call?
Curious how everyone here handles this, because a new Jobber survey of recent homebuyers turned up a stat that stuck with me: 15% had to follow up repeatedly just to get a response from a contractor 9% never heard back at all Losing potential business due to something that is not a pricing problem or a skill problem should be a wake up call. In a world where 75% of new homeowners hire a pro within their first two years of buying, being the one who calls back first might be the easiest job you win all week! So, what's your business standard? Do you answer within a certain time frame or let it go to voicemail and call back same day? Are there systems set up so nothing slips through the cracks? 👉 Recent Homebuyer Report: It's got homeowner quotes on what made them trust (or ditch) a contractor, plus a breakdown of how each generation actually finds a pro.64Views2likes3CommentsI stumbled upon this gem - Manus AI
I wanted to pass this along because I had never heard of this platform before. The problem I was trying to solve is making a usable catalog for our company SOPs. Right now they look like this. Not so bad BUT I'm onboarding a new VA and for them to know where to look for information was going to be really tough. I'm a member of Home Service Accelerator and the main guy kept talking about "putting it in manus and have it make a dashboard. I finally listened and what came out was unbelievable. An interactive website that has all the info they could ever need. Sure you have to pay for it but I how nice would that be to start a job and they have everything you could need to know be searchable?? This is a screen shot of what I came up with after working on it after 30 minutes. Definitely check it out if this is a pain point for you.42Views1like2CommentsHas anyone here ever built a community partnership from the ground up?

As a new entrepreneur without clients yet, I've been using AI to run mock business scenarios and simulations to build experience and sharpen my processes. I've used it for logistics coordination, compliance reporting, project management, administrative support, client communications, scheduling challenges, and document management. It's been a useful way to practice decision-making, identify gaps in my systems, and gain confidence before working with actual clients. Just thought I'd share the idea. If you haven't tried using AI for business simulations yet, it may be a useful exercise while you're building your company and preparing for future opportunities.57Views0likes1Comment
