Is anyone else using Homestars? What has your experience been like?
I have been using Homestars and I must say, it has generated me a lot of calls. I would say it's bringing in about 80% of my business right now. I took a lot of time to perfect my profile and always ask for reviews and that has really paid off. A lot of people have said the reason they requested or hired me was because of my profile and reviews. My only issue with them is tire kickers and dead leads. People who post a job then shortlist you and don't respond, shortlist multiple pros or people who are "just looking". I wish they had more of a guarantee or verification system. Also getting a refund used to be a lot easier, but they changed their system to make it harder. Is anyone else using Homestars? Any tips or tricks on how to succeed better on there? Hi all, I'm curious to hear from other business owners about the copy on their website. Are you strictly focused on having headers and titles on your webpages that are SEO strong/that relate to what people would be searching? For example, "Best plumber in Miami" Or are do you use hero messages about what you're actually solving / the outcome / trust For example, "Plumbing problems are stressful. We make fixing them easy." Has anyone A/B tested headlines like these? Which are more successful? My website is set up like the first bullet point, but I feel like I should lean more into the hero messages. Thoughts? We have a ceramic coating company and we are branching into Home Services, a relatively untapped market, but ceramic coating has been so well known for vehicles we're trying to change the popular opinion that it's actually fantastic for home care as well. Windows, pool glass, shower glass -- it performs SO WELL! How can we showcase this?Google Ads vs LSA — how is everyone actually using these?
Here's where I'm at: I run both Google Ads and Local Services Ads (LSA) for my business. On paper, that sounds like I've got it figured out. In practice, it feels a bit like throwing money at two different machines and hoping one of them spits out jobs. I don't always know which one a new customer came from, and I'm honestly not confident my settings on either are dialed in the way they should be. Obviously the LSA is something I pay for on an individual basis. I just feel like I never get any jobs out of these. Does this hurt me to kill these ads all together? Then google ads I have no idea. I feel like I get a lot of leads from google in general but I don't know how much of that is my website vs the ads. How do you guys approach these?What information did you get from you Google Profile review?
First off thank you Jobber and Phil for doing this. What an amazing thing for you guys to do for us. For those of you who got a review, what did you learn about your profile to strengthen it? I hope we can all compile here and we can all read through and make our GBP that much stronger! I learned that I for sure need more photos on there and I need to link my social media pages.
What are the best ways to market a cabinet painting business on a budget?
For years I have relied on mostly flyers and word of mouth for my general interior/exterior paint contracting business, I'm starting another off-shoit company to specialize in cabinet painting, given the more specific nature of my targeting is there more efficient ways to advertise my services and grow my brand while being somewhat cost efficient?
