I focused a lot on gaining clients through Nextdoor app. It helped me gain customers fast early on. The only downfall is most users on this app have a slim budget. Being a new business, sometimes you have to get your feet wet, so lower prices will land you customers and build your portfolio. As my business grew I realized I needed a Google presence. Jobber website has allowed me to do this for free. Now when someone types in landscapers in my area, my business pops up at the top of the list. Now I dont have to rely on Nextdoor app, and my prices have become more competitive.
The best ways that our landscape division has gained clients and allowed to quote "livable" prices/wages was through old fashioned flyers mailed to 20k+ homeowners. Same applies for the doors we install. Web/Facebook/Instagram marketing cost us quite a bit to have a "social media expert" who brought in maybe 1-2 more jobs a month....not enough worth paying for the service
