Jobber does not allow invoices to be updated and closed/marked as paid from externally. We use Xero as our main accounting system as it hooks into or bank. Every time we mark an invoice as paid in Xero, we need to manually close the corresponding invoice in Jobber. I have raised this multiple times with Jobber but it is not on their roadmap. Hoping there are more people out there with the same requirement to help boost this post so that Jobber can do something about it. Unless someone has found another way to do it. This will save at 30+ hours a month of man hour to change every invoice.600Views0likes14CommentsWorking with another company
Hi all, I own commercial/residential cleaning company. Recently I acquired a new client to clean his office/warehouse. He owns a home remodeling business. He would like to use our services to clean after his projects are complete. Which by the way is a great marketing idea on his part. I have never had this ask before and I want to be fair to both our companies in making money. Any advise from both sides of cleaning companies and home remodeling. Thank you for your time and input.458Views1like8CommentsKits/Pricing Templates 2 part question
This is a two-part question: Are there plans to introduce kits or templates for quickly creating detailed, itemized estimates? For repeat services, it can be time-consuming to manually add multiple items on the mobile app. A template feature would allow us to add common services with one click and adjust quantities, saving time and enhancing accuracy during the first conversation with the client. Will there ever be an option where a picture of the customer’s home automatically populates once the address is input, similar to apps like Housecall Pro? This feature would provide a quick visual reference of the property, allowing for quicker and more accurate service quotes (e.g., gutter cleaning). It would also help create a great first impression by allowing us to describe the home in detail during the initial phone conversation with the customer.446Views2likes7CommentsDo you utilize battery-powered tools?
Handheld battery-powered tools have come a long way from their first iterations, especially over the past few years. I've started making the switch away from gas-powered equipment throughout the last few seasons for my business and have found the switch to be positive for my workflow and bottom line. This is a trend I believe will continue as batteries become more powerful and long-lasting. Are you utilizing any battery-powered equipment and, if so, do you have any favorites you'd like to share??412Views3likes8CommentsTrack Employee Mileage
We run a property services company, with each of our employees using their own vehicle for work. Our employees are all paid out their mileage reimbursement each pay day. We require a report with all their KM (we are in Canada) each week. I am wondering what you are all using for employees to track and submit their miles/km?402Views0likes5CommentsBuilding and Keeping a Team Engaged
Hi Everyone, I wanted to see how do you build your business? We are a mostly residential cleaning company in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I say mostly residential because we also do some commercial cleaning but our main business is reoccuring cleaning. I have been plugging along for 15 years and it took me many tries to get the right people on the bus in my office. I find these people a blessing as I know with our size I would not be able to run it all on my own. Now we have our office admin (customer service, scheduling, social media, other tasks), supervisor (babysit the team, hiring - firing, performance management, quality assurance and feedback from clients) and part time sales rep (follow up on leads, networking). These people are solid and I wanted to ask how do you keep them engaged, invested and continously learning. What outside trainings worked for you team? What perks? Rewards? Thanks a million!266Views4likes5CommentsDirect Call Leads
We only pay per qualified conversation with homeowners. After a few years of hunting down bad contacts, getting ghosted and wasting money on ads and ad managers we internally built out a system that only costs money when a homeowner directly calls us looking for our services. It’s been a gamechanger and we even started selling these calls to other roofers and other industries/home service companies because there’s no real risk. Either you talk to a homeowner who wants you to come out, or you don’t pay. They can be kind of expensive but our ROI is at about 3.4x for a while now using it so I’m never going back to our old methods…unless someone has a lower risk option that doesn’t consume a ton of time.242Views2likes5Comments
