How to back up job photos and files from Jobber?
Hey all, just wondering if this is something others have run into. A few of our clients have been talking about how they handle long-term storage of job photos and documents, especially when staff leave, or when they want to organize files outside of Jobber. Some mentioned wanting to move things to Google Drive or DropBox automatically, but I’m not sure how common that need really is. Just curious, have you or your team thought about this? Is keeping a backup of Jobber media files part of your process, or not really a concern? Appreciate any thoughts! I'm changing the lead source to consolidate door to door leads from per person to just Door to Door for my reporting. Jobber Ai says to go to each one to change it - duh, but I don't want to go through all my clients and find them. I tried both search bars when I'm on the client list, but neither is working. Any other tips - I'd love toSolved24Views0likes4CommentsWeather Widget 🌞🌧️❄️🔥
Is it possible to integrate Jobber with a weather app? On the dashboard, we were thinking a 7-day forecast could be visible. Also, I thought a small temperature reading on the monthly calendar would be visible. We also thought the weather for the day could be captured and saved as an internal note for the job.Solved77Views3likes5CommentsPLEASE add a kit function
Even the bottom of the barrel CRM that I'm currently using has a robust kit function. Create products with fully editable costs and quantities, then add those products to a kit (in this case, what a "service" should be). Once a kit is entered into a quote, individual products are hidden from the customer, but fully editable when creating the quote. As it is now, I have no idea what the difference between a "product" and a "service" are. They both have the same info (name, description, cost, etc). You should just be able to group products to form services. If i have a product of "labor" and a product of "receptacle". I should then be able to create a service of "Replace Receptacle". That service would consist of my labor product, and my receptacle product. Both with quantities and costs that I could edit when creating a quote. Since not all receptacles are the same, and my customer doesnt care whether its a duplex or a decor, being able to edit the cost of that receptacle, straight from the kit during quote creation, would be amazing.Solved60Views2likes8CommentsOut of cell service area access
Wondering how many of us work in areas that have poor or no cell coverage? In my area that is quite frequent and we can't access jobber online or the app so no job time tracking or marking it as completed, etc. Is there any way around it beside waiting to have cell/data service? Hello Jobber Team, 🛠️ Why We Use Sub-Items in Our Quotes & Invoices When it comes to handyman and construction work, no two jobs are exactly alike — and we believe your quote should reflect that. That’s why we organize our quotes and invoices with main line items and sub-items, and here’s why that matters: ✅ Customizable Work Scopes Sometimes a project includes optional jobs based on your preferences or budget. For example, your quote might include: • Job 1: Deck Repair - Materials - Labor • Job 2 (Optional): Flooring Install - Materials - Debris Disposal Fee - Labor You can easily see what's included and choose what fits your needs. ✅ Transparency You Can Trust No vague charges or confusing totals. Every part of the job is broken down so you can see exactly what you're getting — from screws and wood planks to disposal and labor. ✅ Smoother Approvals & Communication Want to move forward with just one section of the job for now? No problem. Sub-items make it easy to discuss, approve, or remove parts without reworking the entire quote. ✅ Budget-Friendly Flexibility This system lets us work with you on cost — you can prioritize essential work and schedule optional items for later, all while keeping track of the big picture. At the end of the day, we want your estimate to be as clear, flexible, and tailored as the work we provide. 🧰📋25Views0likes1CommentSuggestions for Jobber
Below is some suggestions I have for Jobber to improve use. This is reviewing the two past years of my company and the complications they have using it. Anymore? Keep it going! Create a filter in clients to separate residential and commercial. Display icon in clients for residential and commercial. Prompt you if a duplicate client is being created. Identical names especially for companies shouldn't be allowed. Option to turn off archived search results when using the search bar. Create a collect payment button for invoices instead of having to click edit invoice to collect payment. Under save invoice options add selection save invoice and mark as sent. Create an edit mode for products and services and for visits. You would click the button allowing you to change the text in the columns and toggle taxable or non taxable. when edit mode is turned off it will save any changes. You can also do a select box so you can deactivate or delete multiple at a time. For visits, dates should be an option in the edit mode. Length of visits should be an option in one off or recurring. Shouldn't just default to all day. Quotes have a bulk archive, this should be added to jobs and requests and for the quotes there should be options such as bulk archive, bulk approve. When converting quotes to a job there should be selection boxes to select which line items you want to convert. And once line items are converted and someone tries to do it again maybe a popup saying this has already been converted to job #______ are you sure you want to proceed? In Manage teams, allow you to create a password for your technician. Sometimes techs are in the field having issues and don't have time to verify and change a password. Administrators should have this option.48Views3likes2Comments🚗Fleet Sharp and Schedule (alpha) Split Screen
Hello, Our Fleet Sharp trackers do Not populate on the schedule (Alpha) split screen. We heard about Force Fleet at the spring feature announcement, and we have seen screenshots of Force Fleet trackers visible on the schedule split screen. We are wondering (hoping 🙏) if Jobber will update the split screen to show both Force Fleet AND Fleet Sharp trackers. We are wondering if anyone has heard or knows info regarding this topic. Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on how others are managing long-term jobs in Jobber that span a full year and include many steps or tasks—some one-off and some recurring. For us, scheduling a yearly maintenance job has been a challenge. Are you setting up one Job with many visits, or are you creating a separate Job for each task in the contract with multiple visits for each? When converting a quote to a job, Jobber allows multiple jobs from a single line item, which sometimes leads to duplicates and scheduling issues. Another challenge is payments by installment—we need the job total to match the installment price rather than the full contract value, and I’m wondering how others are handling this. In other programs, scheduled tasks would turn gray to indicate they had already been converted to a job. If they needed to be scheduled again, we could either add a visit to the existing job or delete it and create a new one. Does Jobber have a workflow that allows for something similar? Would love to hear how you structure your jobs to keep scheduling and payments running smoothly!25Views1like1CommentLet’s Talk Invoice Follow-Ups—Email or Text?
Hi, Home Service Community! I’m Susan, owner of The Wheelbarrow Gardener in Edmonton 🌸. Keeping up with invoicing is crucial, and Jobber has made it a breeze! But I’m curious: "When it comes to invoice follow-ups, do you prefer using Jobber’s email or text feature, and how often do you send reminders?" I’ve found emails work well for most of my clients, but I’m considering trying texts for quicker responses. I’d love to hear what’s worked best for your business!107Views1like3Comments
