Jobber Campaigns Tips and Tricks
I love the Campaigns feature. I build a newsletter with it every month and I only sent it to clients to haven't booked with us for over 4 years at first, then each month I drop the months since serviced section down to raise the number of past clients reached. I do this so I don't overwhelm the phone lines, and eventually I will just have all the clients get it each month. I also tag my unsubscribe clients so they will never get a newsletter in the future, since right now each month is a one off campaign. I can adjust the filters to keep them out of the loop. I wish there was a way to add a gif file though. I add Before and After pics that I edit together on Canva, which is doing the trick for now to get the point across. One more tip that I've been playing with for my newsletters is using Dall.e on Chat GPT to create a header image that will be specific to our industry. I'd love to hear any other tips and tricks!207Views4likes7CommentsOnline Booking and Communications Challenges
Hey Everyone, We have some support questions we are hoping to get answers to and thought we would post it on here to see if any other users have found solutions to these challenges or are having the same challenges? Is there a way to edit the "On my way message”? We would like to customize the message and edit it to not provide our employees personal phone numbers but rather list our two way messaging number. We have the jobber Grow package, and are promoting our clients to utilize the two way messaging number for communications, so all of our team gets their message and can reply quickly. However we're concerned that if we ever move away from jobbers platform, we would lose this number and would therefore have missed communications. Is this a concern for others using this feature? We have been trying to implement the online booking feature on our website. However we are finding it is challenging that we cannot select what employees are available for certain services. Our exterior services guys are not able to do interior cleaning, and vice versa. We are wondering if there is a way to work around this or if Jobber has anything in the works? We have also found that the booking times for services is too limiting. We offer window cleaning and charge by the window pane, it takes 7 minutes to do an interior window pane and frame, but the lowest bookable time option is 15 min. This is resulting in a job being booked for twice as long as it will actually take, or showing that we do not have an available booking window and therefore losing out on the booking. Also, for services that take longer than 60 minutes, the next option is 90 minutes, that’s a big jump. Does Jobber have the ability to make services be set up by single minute units rather than 15 min and 30 min slots? Thanks for any input and insights!14Views0likes0CommentsWeather Widget 🌞🌧️❄️🔥
Is it possible to integrate Jobber with a weather app? On the dashboard, we were thinking a 7-day forecast could be visible. Also, I thought a small temperature reading on the monthly calendar would be visible. We also thought the weather for the day could be captured and saved as an internal note for the job.47Views2likes2CommentsHow do you utilize reports in your business?
I am curious to hear which reports you consider most valuable in your business and what actions are taken based on those reports if anyone is willing to share. Are there reports that you use regularly in Jobber or reports that you wish were part of Jobber? If so how do you utilize the information that the reports provide? Are changes made based on the reports? Is the data used to create the reports monitored internally for consistency? Thanks for sharing all input is helpful!372Views4likes15CommentsDo you utilize battery-powered tools?
Handheld battery-powered tools have come a long way from their first iterations, especially over the past few years. I've started making the switch away from gas-powered equipment throughout the last few seasons for my business and have found the switch to be positive for my workflow and bottom line. This is a trend I believe will continue as batteries become more powerful and long-lasting. Are you utilizing any battery-powered equipment and, if so, do you have any favorites you'd like to share??280Views3likes8CommentsSubcontractor agreements
Happy Thanksgiving! I am subbing out a couple pressure washing jobs in the coming weeks and need some contracts in place with the subs. Would like for them to assume liability if using my equipment, be paid upon job completion and satisfaction, and agree to adhere to high quality standards. Anyone have something I can poach? Thank you!205Views2likes6CommentsDirect Call Leads
We only pay per qualified conversation with homeowners. After a few years of hunting down bad contacts, getting ghosted and wasting money on ads and ad managers we internally built out a system that only costs money when a homeowner directly calls us looking for our services. It’s been a gamechanger and we even started selling these calls to other roofers and other industries/home service companies because there’s no real risk. Either you talk to a homeowner who wants you to come out, or you don’t pay. They can be kind of expensive but our ROI is at about 3.4x for a while now using it so I’m never going back to our old methods…unless someone has a lower risk option that doesn’t consume a ton of time.242Views2likes5Comments
