Building a pressure washing business with sweat equity. I've been leaving flyers and tear aways at local businesses. About to post some on local Facebook groups, is there any additional advice for adding customers but keeping it local and personal. I am hoping to build a locally recognized company... patriot Pressure Washing, PPW!799Views8likes10CommentsDo you return phone calls?
Looking back at trends I've noticed emerging in this post-COVID era of business, one that stands out to me is how frequently I hear potential clients share I am the only contractor that answered the phone/returned their call. People are far too often transparent regarding what a hard time they are having getting in touch with someone, let alone procuring a proposal to complete the work. Being located in SE Michigan USA, I have to ask, is this just something that is a problem in my local market, or is this everywhere and something you've experienced as well? Also, how do you handle following up with calls that can't be answered as they come in? How long is too long to circle back??799Views2likes7Commentsπ Is Your Sales Pitch Costing You Work? Does anyone here charge for estimates? I've been thinking about this for a while and curious if anyone has found success with it. I run a handyman business and solely focus on active listings for realtors. I've found that most of the time, when buyer's agents call for me to look at inspection punch list items, they never call back after I send the quote. I can only assume they're using my quote as leverage in the sale to get some sort of credit or concession from the seller. Now I'm thinking of asking which side of the sale they're on and charging if it's the buyer side, or just charging all around. Obviously, our time isn't cheap so I want to honor that. If you're charging for estimates, what kind of rate are you charging?Solved400Views2likes10CommentsHow to get the maximum out of your bid on a job
