Marketing Companies
It seems like every marketing company takes your money and provides no results. Has anyone had any luck with a company that’s actually driven more business to your business.

I'm getting slammed with marketing companies that want my business right now. I took a meeting from one that proposes to do SEO for my Google My Business profile. Part of their offering is Map Citations, which they do by creating a custom map in Google My Maps, and adding pins all over my territory with links to my page, my profile, and descriptions of what I do, titled with targeted key words. They say google scans this information and builds authority. I've never heard of this. Is this a real thing?
We do have a company who does our Google Ads and Marketing Plan. They are amaing to work with true partners. Just got rid of the SEO as they were not delivering on the promises. This can not only be hard but costly too.
Chat with Phil Risher from Phlash Consulting. He's the real deal and has been featured on various Jobber podcasts and trainings.

Yep second this one as well! He's a great follow on Linkedin too!
Marketing can be tough!! Have you tried Branded Bull?
I'm getting the same thing. It all started from simply trying to get some post cards sent out and everyone wants to sell me online ads, SEO, geolocation and all kinds of other stuff. I did just sign up with a company called HIKE, they offer an automated SEO software platform you can work yourself for $59 a month, or they have a fully managed version for $119.99 per month, I went fully managed and I look forward to seeing if they deliver or not. The other services were far more expensive.
Worked with a few, never had a good luck with it. Last one we tried for 6 months, ended up wasting a lot of money on ads, and only had bad leads, unfortunately.
In my experience content creation works better to build a base. Now we do it all ourselves, we record content, pictures of jobs, and so on. And publish in all social using Metricool. I don't run ads no more.
I think finding a good company to work with an any arena can be a challenge..
With that being said, what does your marketing plan look like? You vetted 5-10 companies per acquisition channel in order to find out exactly what you're requiring from a marketing company?
Have you researched or read/listened to any books/podcasts to educate yourself further in this area?
What I've personally found is at the end of the day if something's not working in my business, it's typically due to a skill I'M lacking, not anyone else.
RonnieMarketingDo you have any insights on this topic that you can assist with? You've been a very trustworthy marketing company that we've relied upon.
Im not clearly understanding your position here. I wanted to reach a community to see if anyone has had any good experiences with a marketing company. As a business owner, You want to source and delete tasks from your to do list. With that being said, I do know what’s involved in marketing online. Do I want to complete those tasks and research a market? No, when there are already niche and qualified businesses who handle this matter. Also, I have other responsibilities within my business that keeps me moving and adding a whole other business model to improve another is not where I want to be. So that leads me to say, I run a home service business not a marketing agency and my desire to find a marketing agency who actually respects the platform and reputation I have built as a small business means a long term partnership. Especially if they have the skills i do not have in online marketing. I believe this is not due to lack of anything but finding and meeting the right partners.
I'm working with a small business https://digitaltrek.ca/ essentially a one man show which I like. We are thinking about it like this, he's our fractional marketing manager. Helping me with google, seo, website, mostly all the back end voodoo that I don't know about. Right now with electrical he's getting me $5 for every 1$ I've spent. We do monthly check in's and go over the data. I'm pretty happy and pushing him to do more as well. Check him out, name is Mario.
